This private residence in the Village of Chevy Chase is the owner’s respite from the crowded and noisy urban lifestyle. Two adjacent properties were combined into one giving ample space for quiet reflection in the garden, entertainment, room for dogs to play, and even a dual-purpose heated driveway painted for regulation pickleball. C+RLA worked with the homeowners to bring their dreams to a reality. The garden consists of numerous travertine terraces inset with custom granite bird inlays consisting of hummingbirds and swallows. Each terrace features different types of furniture, selected by C+RLA to give various types of spaces for gathering and resting. A large mahogany and steel arbor is the focal point at the main residence terrace with a granite block fountain next to the dining area creating the tranquil sound of flowing water. 

C+RLA maintains the garden after completion, overseeing all trades to ensure the life of the garden is as intended. This respite in the heart of Chevy Chase is any homeowners dream to clear your mind at the end of a busy day.
