Art Place at Fort Totten, in northeast Washington, DC, will house a dramatic experimental theatre, an extensive food court, the DC Children’s Museum, and other art venues, along with artist-in-residence apartments and condos.
C+RLA is designing outdoor space as a Family Entertainment Zone, replete with al fresco dining, pedestrian promenades, dog parks, water features, farmers markets, sculpture and public art displays, active rooftop amenity terraces and private balconies, and green roofs that support sustainable infrastructure and water catchment.
Easily accessed by public transportation, vehicle, bike, and foot, this new art hub will provide various forms of entertainment, activities and visual interest to all who visit. This property is part of a LEED neighborhood Development.
