It was a pleasure, albeit a hazy, hot, and humid Saturday morning, to tour Pike & Rose during the first Walk & Talk with The Cultural Landscape Foundation (tclf.org). An invigorated group of architects, horticulturists, green roof specialists, and landscape architects posed interesting questions about materialism, design in the urban/suburban overlap, budgets for large projects, maintenance, and the overall importance landscape architecture, placemaking, planting design, and horticulture play in urban design. Thanks to Federal Realty Investment Trust and TCLF for this opportunity to share our knowledge and our work.
